Cast of Characters

Clint and Carole. We’re the Texvanwinkle and Texsgirl mentioned in the “About Us” page. We’re the ones who are writing the posts. (Okay, Carole is writing most of them, but Clint chimes in occasionally. . . .) (Which is ironic, considering he originally started it.) We are also the He and She at His and Hers Creative. We do lots of different things, but right now he is focusing mostly on video editing and she is doing lots of web design.When we write about people, it’s usually at least one of the following: The kids:

Angelina. She’s 7, and she loves dogs, Taylor Swift’s music and videos, and her baby sister. (And me, and Clint, and the rest of our family, she’ll be quick to tell you.)

Alexander is 6, and he also loves dogs and his baby sister. And the rest of the family too; and he loves us “as-much-as-you-love-me!” as he’s oh-so-fond of saying.

Christina just turned one a few weeks ago. She loves ALL animals, and being around people. She can’t get enough of her big brother and sister, and she would spend EVERY waking moment outside if we would let her.

Del and Colleen ~ aka: Clint’s Mom and Dad ~ aka: Grandmommy and Granddaddy ~ aka: Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Del ~ aka: the Grandma and the Pilot (when the kids first met them, this was how they referred to them), live only about four miles away from us. We both genuinely like them, so we’re very happy that they live so close! Del has a website, and is thinking of adding a blog to it, for anyone who’s interested.

Deb ~ aka: Clint’s sister ~ aka: The Romantic Mom. She lives in Maine, with her husband Andrew, and their four kids, Heather, Andrew, Caitlyn, and Ashely. She cooks, she knits, she crafts, she writes, she homeschools. . . . Talk about living your dreams: they’re building a log cabin! You can read all about it/them on her site. She also has a site about living the Green life. If you’re interested in that sort of thing, you should check out Green Pioneer. Her husband Andrew is a watchmaker, and he has a site, too.

Shana, Billy, and Dalton ~ The Irwin-Coury Family. Billy has been friends with Clint for almost twenty years now. (Twenty years!!??!!) Shana has been Clint’s friend since 1997, and Carole’s since 2003. Lots of history here. . . . Billy is a writer, and you will eventually see some of his work on his website. (Right now it’s just a placeholder.) Shana is a grad student/teacher at UNT Denton — at least until they move in a couple of weeks! Dalton is 14, plays the string bass, and is a budding singer and actor. (He’s already starred in a couple of school plays, and we fully expect to see him in more leading roles!) He’s also one of the brightest people you’ll ever meet, and has been a member of Mensa (along with Shana and Carole) for several years now.

I’ll be posting pics of more family members, and some friends, later, so check back in! In the meantime, this will get you through most of our posts, I think. . . . : )
