Ch-ch-ch-changes

Sorry I haven’t posted in so long — it’s been pretty busy around here!

We traded in my Kia and bought a minivan, Clint is all but finished with two of the JA Videos, I’ve been doing some photo editing, helping Debbie with her website, helping another mom design a site, and looking for more work for us, among other things.

We’re this close to buying our video equipment.  We’ve pretty much decided to go with the 200a’s, because VideoTex is going to give us a substantial discount on them, so now we’re trying to decide on accessories.  I’m getting very excited at the thought of starting to learn to use the cameras!  I’ve always thought I’d like to be involved in weddings and/or births somehow, and now it looks like I’ll at least get to be in on some weddings. . . .  : )

I’ve decided that I’m going to be splitting the blog:  Some of my recent posts have been not much more than  overly-long diary entries.  They’re interesting to me, especially for when I come back to look at them, years from now, but I can’t imagine they’re all that interesting to anyone else.  (It’s okay — I’ve been too busy to take the time to do more than write brief summaries, so it’s no surprise that they’re a bit dry.)  In any event, I still want to write the diary-type entries, just so I’ll have them to look back on later, but I don’t want to bore y’all to tears:  “I had oatmeal for breakfast again; played with Christina, had chicken salad for lunch, picked up the kids, etc. . . ” so I’m going to NOT post all that here unless I have time to actually make it into something a bit more interesting.

I’m planning on saving this page for writing about random things that come to mind, or things brought up by whatever I’ve been doing — and I won’t write anything unless I have time to at least re-read it and make sure it’s at least a tiny bit interesting.  (That’s the plan, anyway; we’ll have to see if MY idea of interesting lines up with anyone else’s. . . .)

I’m also planning to add an RSS Feed (and/or email subscription?) to the page so you won’t have to try to remember to check back to see if I’ve written anything new.  (I know if I have to remember to check in on a blog, it’s pretty much guaranteed that I won’t be reading it for long, because I’ll forget about it when I get busy!)

Alright, this computer is driving me crazy!!!  The cursor will NOT stay put in the window I’m typing in:  it jumps out of the window every so often, and I have to click — like that — to bring it back so I can continue typing.  I am NOT touching my trackpad, or anything else that I shouldn’t be touching:  I’m simply typing along like I always do, and BAM!  aw — again! — away it goes!  aaauugghh!!!

I’m going to go to sleep now.  Hopefully I’ll get a chance to figure out the RSS/Subscription thing in the  — ACK!!! — next day or so, and can get that up and running quickly.  (Preferably BEFORE I throw this computer through the  — SEE?? — window!

Guess I — AAUUGGHH! — I’ll be needing to make a trip to the Apple Store to figure out WHAT in the blazes is going on  with this thing!

Hi Carole - I am still avoiding the mini-van…esp with gas prices these days but I only have two kids.

Adding a feed is really easy…just go to www.feedburner.com. That’s who I use.

Thanks, Aruni!

I love, love, LOVE my minivan!! It actually gets the same gas mileage that my Kia Sportage did, so this is just sooooo much better! We all have room to breathe now…. : )
