Took Alexander to breakfast at the Allen Cafe this morning. He still remembers the last time we were there, a year ago, when Clint accidentally put syrup on his Mickey Mouse pancake, instead of powdered sugar. (The waitress that time was super nice, and she personally made him a new pancake, free of charge.) No mishaps this time; everybody’s food was perfect, and we all ate until we were stuffed. Christina had fun waving at everybody in the place, which kept her mostly occupied until we were through.
Clint played Wii Sports with Alexander while we waited for Angelina to get home from camp. I played with Christina and played “Who has the biggest brain?” on Facebook. (I’m in second place, in my group of friends. . . .) She finally got here around 1pm. She called from the road, in tears, saying that she missed me; I think it was more about missing camp, though. . . .
Both kids were pretty bored this afternoon; I was trying to get Christina to take a nap, so they had to be quiet. It was too cold to go outside, and they didn’t really know what to do with themselves. Clint abandoned the taxes to play with them for awhile, then they went to Dave’s house around 4-ish.
Christina didn’t nap for long, so the rest of the evening was spent doing baby stuff. We had left-over Hungry Howie’s pizza for dinner, while watching Tron.
While we did that, Christina found a fun new game to play:
She pulled one of the baskets out of the coffee table, then proceeded to climb carefully inside: one foot, then the other, then slowly sitting down. . . . It was pretty funny; she did it at least three times.
She appears to be fighting off a cold now: her nose has been running for most of the day, and she’s had a bit of a cough. (Probably picked it up from that horrible woman’s children at the library the other day.) Hopefully she’ll sleep well tonight, and be feeling better tomorrow. . . .
