My brother decided to surprise us with a big present to make up for Christmas and birthday presents that he’s missed in the past: boy were we surprised!

He called me first, to be sure that I had no objections to the kids having a Wii, then Fed Ex’d it to us. I didn’t tell the kids it was coming. The day it arrived (Feb. 27), I picked them up from school and told them that there was a surprise from Uncle Troy waiting at home for them. They made some guesses as to what it might be, but they had NO idea that it was something so big!

I managed to get it all hooked up before I picked them up from school, so when we got home they were able to just start playing. I got some videos of them, but I wish I’d been faster to grab the camera. As excited as they are in these videos, they were much MORE excited just a few minutes earlier.

We went out the next day and got a second controller so they can play together on 2-player games.

The kids aren’t the only ones who like it: Clint and I had fun making Mii’s for each of us, and we ended up playing pool together at midnight that night!
